Biscuits Sweet

Melting Moments

Did anyone else make these in primary school? I get the reason why now, as an adult, they’re so simple! They’re also really delicious and require very little in the way of ingredients. So let’s get to the actual recipe shall we. I do love that this one has so few ingredients and no egg at all, meaning you can keep everything you need in your pantry/fridge and make them whenever the fancy takes you! There are many recipes for these on the internet, but most of them add egg. I have no aversion to eggs, but if you can make something with less ingredients why not?

Ingredients

  • 70g Self-Raising Flour
  • 45g Caster Sugar
  • 60g Butter
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 20g Dessicated Coconut
  • Glace Cherries – 1/4 on each biscuit and a snack for the cook 😉

Recipe Notes

  1. I made 16 out of the mix, but would suggest 10 is a better number if you want a decent sized biscuit.
  2. Obviously ovens vary, but mine cooked in just under 10 minutes. Just keep an eye on them. They’ll go a nice golden colour, and be slightly darker around the edges.
